Our Christmas Elf

Here's Frank and the girls at the Marietta Diner. A great place to eat (as has been attested on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives"), but always a busy madhouse!

Thanksgiving in Illinois

We spent the week of Thanksgiving visiting family back in Central Illinois. Madeleine was very happy to see all of her cousins again, and Madeleine's aunts were happy to finally meet Emma!

Below is Madeleine playing cards at the hotel with one of her cousins, Brooke:

Swimming in the hotel pool. Despite her face here, Emma loved the pool:

Madeleine having a great time swimming:

Here, let me squint for you again, mommy!:

Aunt Rachel feeding Emma a little snack (undoubtedly a piece of cheese!):

Madeleine helping Grandma Sue and mommy rake the leaves:

When we got back home after Thanksgiving, it was time to break out the Christmas pajamas!!:

I may have posted these before, but what the heck, I'll post them again!

Halloween Randomness

Here's one of Madeleine playing a dress-up game at our neighbor's Halloween party, pre-Trick or Treating. Love the googly-eye glasses:Madeleine as a Littlest Pet Shop Monkey and Emma as a flower:

Emma at another Halloween party we attended:

We continue to dig out Madeleine's old clothes for little E. We loved this coat and hat on Madeleine and now it's Emma's turn, although--as Frank has pointed out--it feels like he's carrying a Muppet.
Cooking time with Emma and Madeleine in the family room!:

Happy birthday Emma!

Goodness gracious, I haven't posted anything in ages. Much has happened in the Campbell household in the past few months! For starters, Emma celebrated her first birthday on November 7th. The day before, we invited a few of our neighbors over for snacks and cake. Here are some photos from that day. Above, the Campbells had a pre-party dance.

The cake:
Emma got a separate "smash cake" and as you can see, she smashed it rather well:

After our friends left, it was time for presents:

She makes this face all the time. I think she's bracing for the camera flash so she squints. We find it hilarious.

Once again, she's not too sure about this new book (though trust me, she LOVES books!)

Happy birthday to our little Emma Wemma!
