Sisters

So one thing I am trying to do as of late is to find photos of Emma and Madeleine, where they look relatively similar. I have not been successful with finding the perfect visual correlation as of yet, but I am still looking through my photos! For now, here are two pictures of the girls in the official Campbell play gym, one photo from late 2006 and the other from early 2011. Perhaps you can see at least SOME similarities....

Emma Smiles

We caught Emma smiling today while changing her diaper. We decided to get it on video.

Notre petit ange

"Our little angel" now weighs 11 lbs. 4 oz.!

Testing the Bumbo seat

Our friends Scott and Sirena passed along a Bumbo Seat which their daughter used but has now outgrown. A week or two ago, we let Emma try it out, and she seemed to like sitting up and looking around. Here are some photos!

Daddy's trying to make her smile:

Such a cutie pie. Of course, we're biased. But she IS our little cutie!:

Snow day with the girls

We had about 4-6 inches of snow overnight (along with some freezing rain), which meant that Atlanta completely shut down. So we stayed home today. Madeleine had a little scrape on her cheek while sledding down our driveway, but she was a chipper girl this afternoon and was a great big sister playing with Emma.

So little....

Little mouth...

Little hands....

Little feet! It makes us a little sad that she will grow so quickly....

The official Christmas photo!

This was our official photo for Christmas 2010. We had the girls in their Christmas outfits and then attempted a photo. I hope that sometime, Frank will post the outtakes, because their were many. Madeleine was looking the wrong way, or she'd have a silly face, etc. Then Emma was either crying or also looking the wrong way, or both. If you look closely, you will see a hint of a white sleeve behind Emma's elbow--that would be Megan's sleeve, as she hid behind the table and helped 'hold' Emma for Madeleine. Hopefully next year's Christmas photo will be an easier process!

Our little Alfalfa

Just like Madeleine did, Emma's starting to lose her hair. She actually has a sort of "male pattern baldness" appearance: much of her hair still is in place on the lower back of her head, but then it thins out as you get closer to the top. Oddly enough, though, she still has this little tuft of longer hair on the top of her head...I wonder how long we'll be able to make her look like Alfalfa.
